Rory McLeod has been a radio journalist for more than 35 years. He is Director of The National Broadcasting School where he teaches a post-graduate course in broadcast news and current affairs. He has taught people who are now at the top of the UK broadcast news and entertainment industries. He is a media trainer of business executives, helping them to deal with the media, specialising in radio, message content, crisis publicity, podcasting, and Ofcom.

Rory also works as a journalist for BBC News. In the early part of his career, he made documentaries, presented phone-in shows and produced and presented news. He joined Independent Radio News where he covered national and international events, later becoming news editor. He has founded and run several highly successful commercial radio stations including a fully quoted radio group, and he pioneered 'branded' digital radio stations.
