Barbara Groom has worked in televison, radio and newspapers for almost 40 years. Currently, she is a World Duty Editor at BBC News, managing and editing global news content. She is also a sought after media trainer, specialising in television.

Barbara has been a commercial television reporter, senior reporter for BBC Radio 4's flagship "Today" programme, a senior producer at BBC Radio 5LIVE, programme controller of LBC News Radio, a network reporter for Independent Radio News (where she covered many international stories), and a reporter with the Yorkshire Post.
